Your work will also power other Huawei products such as laptops, tablets, XR, and beyond.
What You’ll Work On
- Design high-quality color constancy/white-balance algorithms for single and multi-illuminant scenes
- Develop tone & gamut mapping for SDR/HDR
- Advance skin-tone fidelity and fairness: datasets, metrics, and rendering tuned to human perception
- Ensure cross-camera, cross-device consistency and robust color management
- Build hybrid (classical + learned) ISP color modules from RAW to sRGB; explore spectral cues and physics-guided deep learning
- Using psychophysics and big foundation model to develop learned perceptual metrics that predict user preference
- Create efficient, compact models and LUT-based deployments suitable for real-time, on-device execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to push the limits of real-time mobile imaging and publish at top venues
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or MS with research experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Graphics, or related fields.
- Publication record in top-tier venues (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, ECCV, etc.).
- Proven experience in one or more of the following:
- Color constancy & color appearance
- Tone/gamut mapping
- Neural/hybrid ISP
- Spectral reconstruction
- Perceptual evaluation
- Efficient model design (quantization, distillation, pruning, NAS, etc.)
- Solid coding skills in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
- Experience with real-time or on-device inference is a plus.
- Solid coding skills in C++ is a plus.
