Commitment to Respect Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets
Huawei respects third parties' intellectual property, trade secrets and other legitimate rights and interests, and protects its own intellectual property and trade secrets. When a candidate is applying for a position at Huawei, Huawei rejects, does not need, and will not accept any disclosure of intellectual property or trade secrets belonging to the candidate's current or former employer(s). This applies to both, before and after a candidate is hired by Huawei. The candidate is fully aware of Huawei's policies regarding intellectual property and trade secrets, and hereby agrees that:
1. The candidate shall not disclose any confidential information to Huawei, especially information that is related to any secrets (e.g., trade secrets and military secrets) or intellectual property of the candidate’s current or former employer(s), or any other third party.
2. In the event of any questions relating to the candidate’s duty of confidentiality towards his/her current or former employer(s), or any other third party, the candidate has the right to refuse to answer these questions, stating that doing so would breach his/ her duty of confidentiality.
3. In the event that the candidate breaches the terms of this Commitment Huawei reserves the right to end his/her candidacy for a Huawei position, and withdraw any offer of employment made to the candidate.
