Huawei's Switzerland Research Centre in Zurich is responsible for advanced technical research, architecture evolution design and strategic technical planning on IDE.
We are currently looking for a Technical leader to build and lead our new Automated Performance Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the technical planning and evolution of the Automated Performance Engineering team;
- Continuously explore and make breakthroughs in performance engineering technologies based on industry development trends and academic research achievements.
- Implement innovative achievements in Huawei-developed or open-source basic software such as compilers, OS and acceleration libraries to build platform-based performance optimization capabilities.
- Builds and manages the research member of Automated Performance Engineering team.
Requirements and qualifications:
- PhD or MSc in computer science or other domain-related disciplines
- Strong knowledge in Computer Science, including but not limited to domain-specific compiler, HPC application performance tuning and algorithm optimization.
- At least 10 years of R&D experience in one of the following areas: high-performance computing, MLIR4HPC, compiler, generation & optimization of dataflow, performance portability, system performance characterization.
- Experiences on MLIR Community is a big plus.
- Development experience in leading performance tuning software architecture design or typical computing pattern recognition tool development is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to lead, develop and engage a multicultural team
- Ability to provide innovation and an international vision
- Candidates with solid academic record in a reputable university and with experience in working in blue chip technology companies are preferred
