Job Summary:
We are seeking three talented Researchers to join our Zurich team, working on the frontier of extreme-scale agentic computing. In this role, you will contribute to fundamental and applied research in agentic algorithms, modelling, and architectures. You will design novel algorithms, build analytical and simulation frameworks, and explore emerging hardware technologies to enable next-generation AI systems. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of agentic AI through impactful research, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Innovation: Conduct fundamental and applied research on algorithms, modelling, and architectures for extreme-scale agentic AI systems, identifying new opportunities and breakthrough directions
Algorithm Design: Develop novel algorithmic solutions for agentic AI, including collective communications, synchronization protocols, and static/dynamic resource scheduling strategies
Modelling & Simulation: Build cost models, theoretical frameworks, and simulation tools to analyze agentic workloads, evaluate architecture tradeoffs, and identify performance bottlenecks
Architecture Exploration: Investigate new modular interconnects, network topologies, and emerging technologies (e.g., near-packaged optics, NoCs, chip I/O, 3D stacking, folding) tailored for agentic computing workloads
Design Space Analysis: Perform systematic agentic design space exploration to identify optimal combinations of algorithms, architectures, and resource configurations
Prototyping & Validation: Implement prototypes and conduct experiments to validate research findings, bridging the gap between theory and practice
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product teams, to integrate research outcomes into practical systems
Publication & Knowledge Sharing: Publish high-quality research papers in top-tier academic conferences and journals; present findings at internal and external forums
Technology Monitoring: Stay abreast of the latest advances in AI, agentic computing, system architectures, and related fields to ensure our research remains at the cutting edge

Qualifications
· Master's degree or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred
· Strong interest in at least one of the research areas listed above
· Experience with AI / agentic workloads is a plus
