Responsibilities:
Conduct cutting-edge research to build the first-generation of composable-native computer systems, allowing maximum elasticity and independent scaling of compute, memory, and IO, with the vertical integration of applications, parallel programming, computer networks and interconnects, and computer architecture.
Develop and prototype new architectural features and improvements.
Produce and present research papers at top-tier conferences, and write white papers on current developments and future research directions.
Establish and maintain research partnerships with leading universities and professors
Mentor junior researchers and interns.
Requirements:
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Strong background in Computer Interconnects, Computer Architecture, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) is a must.
Proven track record of publishing research papers in top-tier conferences or journals.
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative technologies.
Research experience and/or strong knowledge in several of the following areas:
Parallel programming models such as MPI, OpenSHEM, or Collectives.
Network stack, architecture, and systems in datacenters such as RoCE or Ultra-Ethernet, or supercomputer clusters such as Infiniband, Slingshot or Gemini/Aries.
Scale-up fabrics such as PCIe, CXL, NVLink, UPI, or IF.
RPC protocols and stacks such as gRPC or Thrift.
Knowledge of Deep Learning, Recommenders, and Generative AI, hardware-software co-design, or cloud computing is a plus.
Excellent intercultural communication, coordination, presentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a research environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently.
